4 Ways to Make the Most of Your Kitchen Time

Do you ever feel like you spend most of your time in the kitchen when you’re home? With cooking at least two meals per day and cleaning, there’s hardly any time left to catch up on your favourite tv series or to simply relax. Home cooking sure has its advantages, but it should never feel like a burden. The more free time you have to enjoy the living room and the bedroom, the more you’ll enjoy your kitchen time. Here are some ways to save time in the kitchen…

Declutter and organise

If you haven’t watched Marie Kondo’s Netflix show, put it on your to do list! By simplifying with less and keeping everything organised, life will not only become easier, it will bring joy. It’s a no brainer that you will save ‘searching time’ if everything is where it should be and not hidden amongst junk.

Upgrade appliances

Technology is improving rapidly to make our lives more convenient, although some may beg to differ. There are now blenders that can clean themselves and one button coffee machines. Yes, these appliances tend to be expensive, but time is precious and more valuable than money at the end of the day.

Plan meals

If you plan your meals in advance, you will spend less time visiting the market and also staring into the cupboards deciding what to make – you’ll simply avoid stress. Try making a meal plan on a Sunday and getting all your groceries in one go to start the week. By planning your meals, you can even prep meals in advance!

Eat leftovers

If you’re not a fan of leftovers, you’ll be surprised to know that they usually have more flavour and eating them helps reduce food waste. Leftovers require little time and will even help you save money. You can even get creative and twist it into a whole new dish!
