Explore contemporary kitchen designs by Artform Kitchens, with ideas for contrasting cabinetry, timber accents and layouts that connect cooking with dining. These four kitchens show different approaches to a modern space, from a compact arrangement to larger kitchens with island seating.
Contrasting finishes and timber details
One design combines dark cabinetry with a light island benchtop and a substantial timber extension. The timber continues across the island face, bringing warmth to the darker finishes. A long window above the rear work surface looks out to greenery, while tall cabinetry frames the oven and refrigerator.
Another kitchen pairs white cupboards with darker overhead cabinetry and open bottle storage. Island seating faces the cooking area, with a separate timber dining table alongside. The arrangement keeps preparation, casual seating and family dining close together.
Modern layouts for different spaces
The compact white kitchen places the sink, dishwasher, oven and cooktop along one wall. Overhead cupboards sit on either side of the window, while lower drawers and cupboards provide storage beneath the benchtop. Its simple cabinet fronts keep the small space visually uncluttered.
The final design combines white island cabinetry with timber-look overhead cupboards and a reflective splashback. A sink is set into the island, with open storage at one end and a tall appliance section behind.
