Set on a peaceful rural property in the heart of Wollombi, this kitchen blends natural beauty with custom craftsmanship. Designed for long term clients of Artform Kitchens, the brief was simple: create a space that feels calm, classic, and completely functional for family life.
We focused on materials that offer elegance without fuss, layout choices that support everyday use, and joinery that’s beautifully made and built to last. The result? A kitchen that feels generous and grounded, tailored to its setting and refined in every detail.
A Soft White Foundation with Character and Warmth
The joinery features routed doors in polyurethane, hand-finished in Natural White Dulux with a soft satin sheen. This colour was chosen for its warmth and versatility, fresh and clean without feeling stark, and perfect for the home’s leafy surrounds and changing natural light.
Running full height to meet a corniced bulkhead, the cabinetry gives the room a sense of quiet grandeur. It anchors the space while still letting the view, floors, and benchtop finishes shine. 30mm rails and panels were custom detailed as per plan, giving the doors and drawers their classic framed look.
Porcelain Benchtops with a Touch of Rose Gold
The benchtops and splashback are crafted from AC Rose Gold Porcelain, a surface that brings understated luxury to the kitchen. With soft swirls, warm gold undertones, and natural movement, this finish complements the timber floors and brushed metallic hardware perfectly – and you simply cannot help but run your hands over it!
On the island, a 60mm benchtop build-up adds visual weight and makes the island feel grounded. Behind it, a matching bench seating area offers a relaxed spot to perch, work, or chat over coffee – with lots of practical storage.
Function Behind the Finish
Every detail is designed to work hard. The drawers are Häfele Alto Slim, offering smooth operation and strong storage.
Tucked behind the clean lines is are Furnware Pocket Door System and a Häfele hidden bin, Häfele 2x32L Bin keeping clutter neatly out of sight.
Inside the pantry, four internal drawers provide easy access, and cutlery is organised in Häfele Cutlery Trays, and LED strip lighting brightens the workspace under the overheads.
A Freestanding Layout for Rural Living
A standout feature in this kitchen is the freestanding Smeg cooker, Smeg TRA90P2 Cooker, adding a classic touch that suits its country setting. It’s framed by overhead cabinetry and a matching rangehood, giving it pride of place in a symmetrical layout.
